Star Wars The Force Unleashed

The levels on Star Wars The Force Unleashed are great and nice to look at but can get repetitive at times.Fighting when you start is fun because you can get combs and use the “Force” in different ways but after a few hours of playing it becomes a choir doing the same or similiar combos to kill the never ending waves of enemies. The boss battles are intense and get rather insane at times which is a good thing but it doesn’t take very long to kill them with the “Force.”

Fallout 3

If your a fan of Fallout games or a fan of The Elder Scrolls Obivion this game is great for you. As well as the silly guns like nukes! Theres a mode where you can target a part of an enemy for example head, legs, arms e.g. Your first instinct will be to shoot the head for more damage but shooting the legs will slow them down or shooting the arm may make the drop their weapon. Graphical this game is great a sharp but sometimes the characters do get stuck in some objects which is a minor set back.

IGN’s review:

Gears Of War 2

Gears Of War 2 takes off where Gears Of War finshed. Also the new emense massive guns just makes it that much more insane. This game isn’t just all about blowig the heads of aliens or cutting them in half with you handy chainsaw theres vehicles with over powered cannons which isn’t a bad thing. The huge bosses don’t really relate to anything but are scary, awesome and graphicly amazing so why not.

IGN’s New Creatures and Features review:

Call Of Duty 5: World At War

First things first call of duty 5 is back to world war 2 so no high-tech guns or equiment of today. The story mode is about the same length as the other cal of duty games. This one is just better it looks great one of the best graphical games out. Also you can have up to 3 player co-op play which doesn’t make the story mode any easier. The top multiplayer rankĀ  is up to 65 and its just as intense also you want to keep playing to get more prestige. There are a few more perks and upgrades for multiplayer so you’ll never want to stop playing.

Mirrors Edge

Mirrors Edge is an action-packed, jumping crazy, shooting game. This game has abit of everything. When your jumping from roof to roof, on trains or through the sewers the red ladders or pipes stand out making it easier to complete objectives. Even though some people may like this it can be turned off in the options. The cut scenes are good but mabye abit short. Apart from running away from people and shooting the people you will also have to chase people which can get interesting when you’ve found a short cut or the longest jump.

Folklore

One of Folklore’s main sections is the action and the fighting you have crazy insane battles with a group of enemies and an even more insane experience when you fight a boss of a level. Instead of the usual cutscenes theres a comic like frame by frame view of the story which is odd to begin with but you start to like it the more you play. Also Folklore feels great to play not because of the brillant graphics but because of the visual and different ways to go through the game.

IGN’s review: “One of the best games to come out on the PS3 so far!”

Lair

Lair looks brillant and real and the cut scenes are great you can really see the expression on the peoples faces and in their eyes. Its set in the medieval times where a volcano has exploded and there’s two major powers either side. You are a soldier fighting on behalf of you kingdom. As you fly around on your dragon you use the SIXAXIS of the controller which is good but it can be annoying when you keep trying to go through a cave and you keep missing because its not responsive enough. Also when you target enemies it is abit slow so it can take awhile to kill ememies. This games great storyline makes up or these small things though.

IGN’s review

Dead Space

Dead Space looks and sounds great. You can really hear the creaks of the ship, the screams of the dying people, the rawrs of the monsters and you heart pumping. Any corner could be you last. This is a game where you’ll be scared to keep playing but won’t want to stop. Theres only one single bad thing about this game and that is that theres no mutiplayer/ offline mutiplayer or co-op play. The single player makes up for all of this though.

GT review:

Resistance 2

Resistance 2 is worth it forjust the epic crazy up to 60 player map multiplayer. Also you get a awesome storyline the setting is bigger than the first resistance, it basically looks and is better in every way than Resistance 1. There are also new guns like the magnum which when you fire the shells explode which is cool. The AI don’t just stand and die like most FPS game, they actually get to cover, defend you and tell you where the enemies are.

IGN’s review

Soul Calibur IV

On Soul Calibur IV every character has their own special move. You can also use the character creation tool which means you can change parts of a character or create a new one. There are also Star Wars character, for the PS3 theres Darth Vader and for Xbox 360 you get Yoda. For both consoles you get The Apprentice.
